Arenal
Volcano Hiking Tour & Hot Springs |

The hike takes you to the active side of the volcano where the naturalist guide will take through rain forest trails for a nice and gentle hike where you can see a great diversity of flora and fauna and animals such as, monkeys, toucans, iguanas, plenty of birds and sometimes snakes. Once we arrive at the observation point we will be able to hear and feel the deep rumbling that proceeds occasional eruptions of steam, smoke and molten lava. |

At night
if it is not to cloudy the show is even more incredible as the
mammoth volcano spews red lava and huge rocks glowing against the
black sky. While watching the volcano and taking pictures, our guide
will share some information and history about the area and the
volcano’s activity. Then we will continue our way down to the exotic
and relaxing Hot Springs nearby, to sit back and relax in the
volcanic water and sooth every aching muscle. |

This all day trip takes you to the mighty Rio Frio, part of the
Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge near the Nicaraguan border. Here we
will begin our four-hour ride in search of sloths, caimans,
lizards, exotic birds, monkeys and much more in the surroundings
lush rainforest and wetlands.
You will be amazed with the beauty as your guide talks you about
the marvels of the wildlife, vegetation, ecology and culture of
this tropical paradise. It certainly is a learning experience
and something you can`t miss. A typical Costa Rican hot lunch
served on the tranquil banks of the river is included.

Rio Celeste Waterfall |

Here you will
experience real contact with nature and at the same time
discover one of Costa Rica’s hidden mysteries. Get the
opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the tropical rainforest and
lush wildlife. We will hike the trail for approximately 4 hours,
just over 7 kilometers. During the walk we will visit places
such as the lagoon of the Rio Celeste, a perfect place for
taking excellent pictures. Los Teñideros, a place where two
pristine brooks combine creating the heavenly turquoise color
that gives the river it’s name. Also we will encounter some “mud
pots” or thermal mud filled cavities in the ground where our
guide will extract healing mud to spread on our bodies. You can
also take a warm soothing bath at Tenorio natural hot springs.
After seeing volcanic fumaroles ejecting steam and high
temperature gasses, we will finish our hike down to the splendid
waterfall of the Rio Celeste.

Arenal Hanging Bridges |

Puentes Colgantes also Known as the
Hanging Bridges may be one of the most beautiful environmental
projects in Costa Rica. It is a series of paths and bridges
located in the vicinity of the Arenal Volcano. It is located
directly in the path of birds migrating between north and south
America making this area a bird watchers paradise.
Covering an area of 250 hectares of primary
rainforest it offers views of the Arenal Volcano as well as Lake
Arenal. This 3.1 kilometer walk with 8 fixed bridges and 6 hanging
bridges was built with the latest technology for safety and comfort
as well as respect for the environment. The trail has a maximum
grade of 7 degrees to suit all ages and abilities
